IDSK Design Advantage Programme: Connecting Designers and Suppliers at Havit Showroom
The first gathering under the IDSK Design Advantage Programme, organised by the Interior Designers Society of Kenya, marked the beginning of a networking experience focused on strengthening relationships between interior designers and premium suppliers in Kenya.
Held at Havit Showroom in Parklands, the intimate lunch and connect session brought together designers, creatives, and industry partners for conversations around collaboration, sourcing, and business growth.
Creating Opportunities for IDSK Members
The Design Advantage Programme connects IDSK members with suppliers and industry partners to explore product sourcing support, trade partnerships, designer discounts, and commission-based collaborations, subject to each partner’s terms.
Through showroom visits and direct engagement with brands, members can discover products, build supplier relationships, and identify opportunities for residential, hospitality, and commercial projects.
The programme forms part of IDSK’s wider commitment to supporting members’ professional visibility and business development. All IDSK members are also listed as verified designers in the Interiors Kenya Directory, helping potential clients find and connect with them.
Hosted by Havit Showroom
Havit Showroom hosted the inaugural gathering, providing a setting where designers could explore its interior and furnishing solutions while engaging directly with the showroom team.
The relaxed atmosphere encouraged conversations, idea sharing, and relationship building among professionals working across Kenya’s interior design industry.
Strengthening Designer–Supplier Relationships
A central goal of the Design Advantage Programme is to create stronger working relationships between interior designers and suppliers.
The gathering opened conversations around:
- Trade partnerships and designer discounts
- Product information and sourcing support
- Supplier collaboration on client projects
- Commission arrangements offered by participating partners
- Professional networking and referrals
These relationships can help designers make informed sourcing decisions, coordinate projects more effectively, and deliver better outcomes for their clients.
Building a Stronger Design Community
The inaugural gathering demonstrated the value of bringing designers and suppliers together in a setting that encourages direct, practical conversations.
Through future engagements, the IDSK Design Advantage Programme aims to expand access to industry partners and create more opportunities for members to connect, collaborate, and grow their businesses.
Join IDSK to access the Design Advantage Programme and become part of Kenya’s growing professional interior design community.
